News

On Sunday 17th August we won the Triple Centenary Trophy at Dunmow BC. This is the first time we have won this competition since its inauguration in 2021.

Club Events:

Our Chairman, Tony Jones, is President of North West Essex Bowling Association this year and he held his President's Day on Sunday 10th August at our green. The day went very well, helped by the weather and the hard work of some of our ladies who did the catering.

League & Competition Results-

The Ladies had an excellent season, finishing top of their North Essex Ladies Triples League.

In the North West Essex Bowling Association League our 'A' team finished 3rd in Division 2 but, unfortunately, our 'B' team has been relegated to Division 3.

In the North Essex County Bowling Federation our team finished 3rd in Division 2.

The Sudbury Mixed Triples League has yet to finish.

Bryan Marshall reached the Semi final of the NWEBA Champion of Champions competition.

Our mixed team of two fours of 'over 60's' won their area of the national Tony Alcock Trophy but were not able to overcome Great Baddow BC to progress further.

The Men won the first rounds of the County Group 2 Memorial Shield and Widdop Cup competitions.

They failed to beat Silver End BC in the next round of the Widdop Cup and also lost to Witham BC in the Memorial Shield.
